We stayed for a few days as a last minute break, staff were all friendly and helpful on reception and the bar. We had a family room which was big and the king size bed was very comfy. The kids had a bunk bed which did squeak whenever they moved, slightly annoying. Carpets need a clean, furniture seen better days, slightly dusty and shower just trickles. We went into the pool and lady on poop reception said we had to use room towels as they had none left. We decided to ask reception who weren't aware of this and kindly gave us some. Changing rooms could do with updating and a serious clean. When I got out I was waiting for rest of group and lady pool reception was talking to a gentleman (he introduced himself to her, I'm sure he was a manger/owner), funnily enough she gave him a pool towel! Breakfast was OK but lot of dirty plates on pile.

We have returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel, staying for a large party held there. I’m not usually one to leave reviews but given quite a few poor reviews wanted to pop my experience down. We had a ground floor room which was large and clean, the bed was also huge and very comfy. You can also tilt open the windows which is great for me because I hate stuffy hotel rooms. Breakfast was good and varied and again the restaurant/breakfast area was clean. The bus stop is a short walk from the hotel and buses run regularly to take you into the City Centre. The only thing I would say is that (and I appreciate that hospitality services struggle to recruit) but they appeared quite short staffed for the function we attended on the Saturday (3 serving staff for a room of about 150) and they also appeared quite inexperienced.

We stayed here over Easter. Really pleased with the hotel. Room was really comfortable, clean and quiet. It was also nice and modern. I had requested a quiet room, so the one we got was just great. Didn't eat there apart from one meal and it was just ok. Excellent bus service just round the corner from the hotel to and from airport and into town, so even though it is far enough out of the centre of town the buses into town are frequent. Had chosen this hotel specifically because it had a pool but in the end we were too tired to try it!

We arrived by motorbike to a warning from reception that they had a serious issue with bike theft....not what you want to hear!!!! Not the comfiest of nights sleep and room was right next to the access fire door which kept banging. The hotel is further out of Edinburgh than we expected, but used the local bus service in the evening. Breakfast was a standard chain hotel offering. On the positive side the staff were excellent, helpful and efficient. Happy with the service.

Overall disappointed. Booked a two night stay, first night was a voucher with cocktail on arrival, checked in to be advised they don’t do cocktails and was given to cans of premixed Gin and Tonic. Room Small room but decor was okay. Bathroom was tiny and barely enough room to move around. The rooms are not soundproofed, can hear other rooms and people outside your door, our room was next to lift so constant traffic and noise. From 6am music was switched on in either reception or the restaurant which could be heard clearly in our room and woke us both mornings. Could not walk anywhere in the room without floorboards squeaking loudly, the room underneath would have heard this. Food We only ate breakfast as included with our voucher, food was average at best. Fairly good selection on continental. Fresh orange and apple juice had clearly been watered down. Location It’s nowhere near Murrayfield. It’s about 30mins bus journey to city centre and bus is around the corner and runs regularly and until late. Uber was around £12. This was a fairly basic hotel, it was clean and maintained well but it is definitely on par with a Premier Inn and in no way the standard they are advertising.
